What Is The CTM Band?

The CTM Band is a new and innovative myofascial release tool used to treat muscle/joint immobility and pain.

Where Does The Name, CTM Come From?

Compression, tension, and movement. These are the three things that studies show are required for myofascial release to be effective.

What Is Myofascial Release?

Myofascial release is a therapy that treats skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles.

How Does The CTM Band Work?

Very simple. You find the area that needs to be treated (tight, sore spot in muscle), wrap the band tightly around the area, and stretch for TWO minutes. Check out our instruction video page here.

Where Did The Idea Of The CTM Band Come From?

The inventor of the CTM Band, Dr. Kyle Bowling is a practicing sports chiropractor and former Division 1 athlete based in Louisville, KY. Dr. Bowling specializes in working with athletes and people with active lifestyles. Throughout his clinical experience, he has become very familiar with the common tools people are using to both prevent and treat their injuries. Combining this experience with extensive research into what soft tissue (muscle/fascia) truly needs for recovery, led to the development of the CTM Band. The current tools on the market weren't getting the job done, and we needed a solution!

Is There A Difference Between The Colors Of The CTM Bands?

No. All colors are the exact same material, strength, resistance, etc.

What Is The Warranty On The CTM Band?

We offer a guaranteed lifetime warranty for your CTM Band. We will replace any broken or damaged parts. We want the CTM Band to be your friend for life!

What Injuries Can The CTM Band Help With?

The CTM Band has been used with success to treat: Plantar fasciitis, arch pain, achilles pain, shin splints, peroneal tendinitis, calf strain/tightness, runner's knee, patellar tendinitis, patellofemoral pain, iliotibial band syndrome (ITB), quadricep strain/tightness, adductor strain/tightness, hamstring strain/tightness, elbow/forearm pain/tightness, shoulder pain/tightness, and delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). If any questions about others, please email Kyle@CTM.Band

What Else Can The CTM Band Be Used For?

The band is also used as a great warm-up and recovery tool.

For your warm-up, the simultaneous CTM effect of the band will increase blood flow via an ischemic response. This more effectively prepares the area for movement compared to stretching or foam rolling.

For post workout use, the CTM effect can help reduce soreness, tightness and swelling to speed recovery.

Why Does The CTM Band Work Better Than The Other Tools On The Market?

Studies show myofascial release needs three things to work: compression, tension, and movement into the muscle/fascia. A foam roller/stick roller/lacrosse ball combines tension and movement, but no compression. A floss/compression band combines compression and movement, but no tension. The CTM Band is the first to combine all three.

What Is The Return Policy?

We offer a 30 day return policy on The CTM Band.
